Blogmas 2018: What to do during winter

What better way to start this year's Blogmas than with ideas what to do this month? Since Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year, I always manage to find something to do. Luckily, my city invests a lot of money into decorations and contents so it's pretty easy for me to find something.
I already did Blogmas last year so maybe you'll find some inspiration or ideas there. Post with most ideas could be Blogmas 2017: 10 things I love & hate about winter & Christmas time!, but it's not really specific.

** On a personal note this week: 3 bullsh*ts you're frequently told!

I guess most of these could be applicable to all seasons, but we all associate winter and Christmas time with more free time and cold weather. It may not always be the case, but assuming it is, here's the list. Of course, add simple things like just watching the snow fall and enjoying your fuzzy PJs and the atmosphere should be completed.

At home:
  • watch Christmas movies/special Christmas episodes of your favorite TV shows
  • drink cocoa/hot chocolate while reading some books or articles
  • Christmas/winter DIYs
  • redecorate your room
  • fill in a coloring book
  • put on Christmas music and have a private concert (dancing is basically the same as working out)
  • have a full clear-out of your clothes
  • host a party/sleep-over/game night
  • take an online course
  • try new recipes
  • complete a jigsaw puzzle
Indoors:
  • meet a friend for hot chocolate
  • movies
  • indoor ice skating
  • find various workshops
  • take a short course on something (etc. baking Christmas cookies)
  • visit a museum
  • volunteer at a shelter/day care/nursing home
Outdoors:
  • go ice skating/skiing/sledding
  • go for a walk
  • go hiking
  • make a snow angel
  • build a snowman
  • build a snow fort and have a snowball fight with friends
  • arrange a photoshoot with friends
  • go shopping when discounts hit
What will you do this winter? Add to my list!

  1. Oh, I love these ideas! In South Africa we have hot weather over Christmas but this year (and last) I will be in Poland where it is cold and will hopefully snow on Christmas! So I will definitely be dong some of these!
