Quick & easy nail care

I know I'm probably a bit crazy when it comes to nails (hence the whole category Nails on my blog), but I think they are the best accessory I have so I have to keep them in the best possible shape. Most people would just wash their hands, cut nails and maybe put on some hand cream. Not me.
I already wrote a whole post on My nails and manicures (routine) so I suggest you read that too. However, I haven't talked about actual nail and cuticle care. You can do this in so many ways and different products, but I'm here to show you the most simple routine I have for my nails and manicures looking great.

Before painting my nails I have to take care of cuticle. I use this Essence cuticle remover pen (with vitamin E, almond oil, avocado oil, kukuinut oil and citrus oil) which has oils to soften the cuticle and a plastic part to push your cuticle. I cover all my nails and cuticles with this pen and then, after about 2-3 minutes, I push the cuticle off my nails. If there is some extra skin that isn't really attached to my finger, I'll cut it with this cuticle cutter/remover. If you use this, be careful cause you can cut it too much and then you might have some problems.
After dealing with cuticle, I'll wash my hands to remove excess oil so I could paint my nails. After painting them, I use Essence nail polish corrector pen (without acetone) to remove nail polish from my fingers and give my manicure clean and, more or less, straight lines. If you have a lot of polish on your fingers, you can also leave it to dry and just peel-off after it's completely dry.
After my manicure is dry, I use Essence nail care pen (with vitamin E, almond oil, olive oil and  apricot kernel oil). With it I cover my cuticles again to give back some moisture and treatment.

P.S. This is not a sponsored post (otherwise I would have said so), but I honestly love Essence's nail products. I find them excellent and the price only makes them better. There are other nail care products in their collection so check that out too. But hey, Essence if you wanna sponsor this (or any other post) that would be awesome!☺

How do you care for your nails? Any secret? Or a product to recommend?
