How to maintain a perfect manicure

I've been thinking about this one for a while now. I need to push my love for nails a bit more on this blog. I want to share my love with someone and I think this is one way to find my manicure soul mate. If you're the one, let me know...

I've written about manicures quite a lot over the past years of blogging and I know for a fact that my tips helped some of you. So I tend to keep that reputation and make more posts that could help you maintain the best possible manicure without losing a lot of money. Let's start.

What I actually got in an Essence advent calendar

OK, look, I know it's been two months since Christmas and I'm kinda late with this, but would you believe me if I told you I just now got the time to go through it? I honestly haven't touched any of these stuff since I opened them.

The other advent calendar I had was for a giveaway so I took care of it sooner, but this one I wasn't in a rush to deal with. If the recipients of the giveaway are reading this, I would love it if they send me a feedback or a photo or something.  Anyways, let's get into my advent calendar by, probably, my favorite brand out there.

The easiest eye-catching manicures

** On a personal note this week: Storytime: I was embarrassed to talk to my brother

I don't know why I have the urge to explain myself whenever I write about nails. How many times can I write that I have a huge love towards manicures, always in different way? I guess I still haven't found the right audience for my Nails category. Most loved post was, I think, and still is How to remove stubborn nail polish because no matter what you have painted on, you want an easy way to remove it.

Once I realized you liked that one, I upgraded it and wrote Removing nail polish with clips. But to even have something to remove, you need to paint something on first. I get it not everybody has the will or the time to paint their nails for 2 hours or more like I do, but still want eye-catching manicures. I'm here today with some easy, but very effective ways to make your manicures pop without much struggle.

New-in: make-up for fall

** On a personal note this week: I want a boob job

Here's me not following seasonal trends, but still writing a title "make-up for fall". Nice. OK, I'm not gonna lie, I do like a nice dark lipstick and dark nail polishes with sweater-weather, but it's definitely not mandatory. I'm currently sitting here and writing this with white glitter nails and bright yellow and pink make-up.

It's been a while since I did a new-in post, right? It's been a while for all posts since I haven't blogged in months. However, my love for make-up hasn't faded. I still bought some bits here and there and now you'll see new items in my collection. Did I need them? No. Do I love them? Yes.

Ombre blue abstract manicure

** On a personal note this week: What I like in romance movies

Lately I really neglected my love and passion for nails because they take quite a lot of time to create. Also, I'm kinda a perfectionist when it comes to manicures and I'm almost never 100% happy with the way they look, but that's a whole other problem of mine.

But! I'm absolutely in love with this manicure. The idea was taken (completely stolen) from very talented Yagala (and here's her photo and Instagram video). Honestly, when it comes to nails, I always go to her profile for inspiration and new tricks. If you like manicures or just find those wideos of painting nails relaxing, definitely go to her profile!

Brown-rose gold manicure

** On a personal note this week: 20 plans and wishes for 2019

If we don't count Blogmas, it's been more than half of year since I posted a proper manicure post. To be honest, I don't know why I haven't focused on nails more lately... I've been doing manicures regularly every week, but I guess it's the most boring post to actually write...

This one, however, is a bit different. Not in terms of actual manicure, but the story with it. If you read my post about Barry M nail polish Barry M peel-off nail polish base, you probably recognize this manicure... You also know how damaged my nails were after using it (there's a video to prove it). However, I'm posting it again because I was in love with it!

Blogmas 2018: Holiday manicures

Blogmas 4: Silent Night
Here I am again with these manicures. You know I love them. I would absolutely love to make a YouTube channel for my manicures, but editing takes too much time and it's quite hard so that will have to wait a bit. However, that doesn't mean I don't know how to take pictures of my nails.

Removing nail polish with clips

** On a personal note this week: Two of my colleagues may be dating

I've been kinda sad lately that I don't have enough time to actually do a proper manicure with drawings, stamping, gluing something or something like that. I've been doing pretty simple manicures which I really like, but I sometimes miss the creativity strike...
Also, if you know me, you know I love glitter. I need it everywhere. Doing simple, one color, manicures leaves some room for some bling and it usually ends up with a glitter top coat on at least one finger. However, removing nail polish is my worst nightmare and I offer money to somebody to take it off for me. Maybe, just maybe, I found a way to stop hating the process as much as I do now.

Sugar spun nails

How long has it been since I posted a manicure? Seems like ages since my last 'Nails' post was about terrible experience with a peel-off base (post Barry M peel-off nail polish base). I also don't exactly know how late am I with this manicure cause I've seen it few months back. I decided to try it out anyway and see is it really as easy as they show it.
This trend is called sugar spun for whatever reason and I was really excited about it. It seemed quick and easy. It also didn't require any experience with manicures, drawings or any other form of creativity. You just need to pick out two or more colors you like together and that's it.

Barry M peel-off nail polish base

Do I even have to point out by now that I love manicures? I don't think so. I always have my nails painted (post My nails and manicures (routine). They only get to be naked for about 4 weeks a year. If. And as much as I don't mind spending 4 hours doing my manicure and waiting for all of it to be dry, there's a part I can't stand. It's, of course, taking off my last manicure.
There's nothing I hate more regarding nails. I will shape them (post Transition from squoval to coffin nails) , apply all necessary nail care and paint them for how long it takes, but taking off nail polish is a nightmare. I do have my own trick, it's still just a waste of time for me. However (!), peel-off bases are a huge thing right now so I decided to give it a go. I got this Barry M one and tested it. I also had to make a video proof...

Essence metal shock nail powders (+ video)

Metal nails or nail foils were a huge thing now (they still are as far as I know) among all nail artists and manicure lovers. Although there are hundreds of powders and base/top coat combinations, and they can be ordered pretty much everywhere, I got my eyes on the Essence collection. Among other products, they offered metal shock powder and top coat.
I got powder in the shade #03 i'm so fancy (purple), #01 mirror, mirror on the nail (silver) and #04 a touch of vintage (gold) and I also got these cute mini eyeshadow applicators as I've seen many tutorials using these.

How to remove stubborn nail polish

How long has it been since I've done a nails related post? I love these so much it always feels like it's been at least 6 months (and it's been a month now...). While we're on the topic, I'm looking for more nail bloggers so if you are one or if you know one, let me know.
You know I love painting my nails all colors, stickers, rhinestones, glitter... You name it. If it's for nails, I probably have it and I've used it. However, the worst part of doing manicures on weekly basis (I have no idea how some people can paint their nails every day) is taking it all off. I may have found the perfect solution for this.

Quick & easy nail care

I know I'm probably a bit crazy when it comes to nails (hence the whole category Nails on my blog), but I think they are the best accessory I have so I have to keep them in the best possible shape. Most people would just wash their hands, cut nails and maybe put on some hand cream. Not me.
I already wrote a whole post on My nails and manicures (routine) so I suggest you read that too. However, I haven't talked about actual nail and cuticle care. You can do this in so many ways and different products, but I'm here to show you the most simple routine I have for my nails and manicures looking great.

Blogmas 2017: Holiday nails

I finally got to the nails! If you've been here since the beginning, you know this blog started because of my love toward nail designs. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to manicures so I'm not always satisfied with what I do. However, I always pay extra attention to nails when it's about Christmas.
This year I prepared for this in advanced so I bought my first stamping plates* and all that goes with it. I bought a bunch of them of Born Pretty Store* site cause I was sure they were good. And they are. I also waited for discounts so I got them at lower prices which was awesome. Out of all of the plates I got, I got 3 related to Christmas.

Green silver nails

What to do when you realize in the middle of the night that you didn't do your post for tomorrow and you didn't do your manicure for a week? You make the most of it and post this exact manicure. So here I am.
My phone is also not working so I'm using some old one which has a bad camera. That's why all pictures are the same and there are not different hand poses like in the rest of my 'Nails' posts. Oh well...

Purple gold manicure

How long has it been since I posted a manicure post? Two weeks? Seems like a lifetime. Although posts about nails and manicures bring me the least views and comments, nails are my biggest passion here so I'll never stop posting them. I sometimes get comment how my manicures are hard to do by a beginner (which I don't think it's the case at all), so I love posting these simple manicures every once in a while.
Today I have a super easy and elegant manicure. You can do it in half an hour and I guarantee it will catch some looks. I also love this contrast between deep purple shade and gold. To make it stand out even more, add a matte top coat and then shiny rhinestone.

Summer manicures

Summer is slowly coming to an end, but that won't stop me from posting some more summer related topics. Summer is definitely not my favorite season, but it's the season when I go most crazy with my manicures with all neon colors and colorful designs.

Now you'll see three different manicures I did this summer I loved the most. I'll probably do a separate post just for my favorite out of these favorites so your job it to guess which one that will be.
Note: For better pictures, open this post...

White, gold, blue, black manicure

Summer always brings the most of my creativity. Usually. For this manicure I took inspiration from one of my favorite nail artists out there - Yagala S. I feel like I always fail a bit when I have short nails. I'll let you be the judge of it.

Rose-gold ombre abstract nails

This is more a mix of rose-gold, bronze and pink color, but it's still a super fun and easy manicure. As usual, I started with no idea what I'm going to do and then, about an hour and a half later, this was done.

Manicure: Black matte leopard

It's been a long time since I did a good matte manicure. Although I usually paint 4 out of 5 (or 8 out of 10) fingers matte and then I put glitter or some kind of shine on those fingers left, this time I actually put some effort in this manicure. It's very simple and easy, but so statement!
