How to maintain a perfect manicure

I've been thinking about this one for a while now. I need to push my love for nails a bit more on this blog. I want to share my love with someone and I think this is one way to find my manicure soul mate. If you're the one, let me know...

I've written about manicures quite a lot over the past years of blogging and I know for a fact that my tips helped some of you. So I tend to keep that reputation and make more posts that could help you maintain the best possible manicure without losing a lot of money. Let's start.

How to really declutter your closet

In the past few days I've seen about 30 declutter videos. Surprisigly, I started with my own closet for two reasons. First is that I absolutely love organizing stuff and second was that I was simply bored being closed inside my 4 walls for 2 weeks (so far). So, once I was done with my closet, I fell into this YouTube vortex of declutter videos. I like them all, but organizing clothes is my biggest love.

While I was watching all of it, I realized some things all girls had in common and some mistakes they made (in my opinion). If you're stuck at home like I am, this is a post for you.

Be smart about your beauty shopping

** On a personal note this week: I want a boob job

New year, new me. Says me who decided to plan my finances and stop spending too much money and just bought a dress I don't need. But I definitely love it. So that makes it OK, right? However, I did manage to cut down my expenses and if you want to know more how to save money, let me know.

Also, I need to get it of my chest and say that this was totally inspired by a video by Patricia Bright (video linked here). Definitely go watch it because I loved it and I think you all need to hear it too. Haha. And now let's get into this, shall we?

The easiest eye-catching manicures

** On a personal note this week: Storytime: I was embarrassed to talk to my brother

I don't know why I have the urge to explain myself whenever I write about nails. How many times can I write that I have a huge love towards manicures, always in different way? I guess I still haven't found the right audience for my Nails category. Most loved post was, I think, and still is How to remove stubborn nail polish because no matter what you have painted on, you want an easy way to remove it.

Once I realized you liked that one, I upgraded it and wrote Removing nail polish with clips. But to even have something to remove, you need to paint something on first. I get it not everybody has the will or the time to paint their nails for 2 hours or more like I do, but still want eye-catching manicures. I'm here today with some easy, but very effective ways to make your manicures pop without much struggle.
Note: You can find my entire manicure routine, keeping my nail polish intact for 2 weeks and more here - My nails and manicures routine.

Cleaning fake jewelry

** On a personal note this week: My sleeping problems

I always say I need to get rid of some of my jewelry because I really have too much of it and then I take it all out ready to declutter and I end up just putting everything back. It has been going in circles for months now.

However, one good thing did come out of it. I found some pieces that really needed cleaning up. Real jewelry I always give to the jewelry guy in the store cause I need that really polished, but the fake ones I clean myself. This was actually the first time I did it so I decided to document it.

Redecorate your room for minimal $$$

** On a personal note this week: Things that need to die in 2019

I always dreamed of having a big house, big rooms, spaces for just myself... I dreamed of having a Disney castle once I grow up. Thankfully, I realized dreams are not reality pretty fast so I altered my expectations. However, a big room is still a wish of mine. Or, at least, room decorated the way I want it to.

I still live with my parents in a room they built for me when I was about 10, maybe 12. It's pretty small, crowded with furniture. There's not much I can do here and it's still the way it was once they made it.

Blogmas 2018: Items that bring Christmas into every home on a budget

I realized now that I have a lot more non-beauty posts in this Blogmas than I had in mind. I'm surprisingly OK with that. To be honest, these are easier to write down because I'm already thinking it and I juts have to write it. Usually, I lose a lot of time doing photos for my blog. Now that we're this close to Christmas, I have no spare time, not even a minute. It's currently midnight, I'm getting up in 5 hours to go to work and I just now got the time to write this. So yeah, life posts it is.

Blogmas 2018: How to wrap presents? for dummies

I have no idea why, but I see so many people struggling with wrapping presents. And not only weirdly shaped ones, they struggle with plain boxes too. Now, for a person that absolutely love wrapping presents, and who does it in stead of other people too, this is something I don't fully understand. There are so many tutorials and step-by-step videos that we should all be masters of it. However, I know not all people are for it. They're not creative enough?

Blogmas 2018: Winter tips and tricks

I basically announced all posts in December will be related to Christmas and holidays, but I also have something else that should be shared during this time. This post will have some Christmas related tips, but also some that I found very useful during these cold days when we usually get sick and our skin is dry and our entire mood can go downfall.

How to get ready in 5 minutes or less

How stressful it is when you've overslept and you have a meeting in 10 minutes? Or if you made plans with friends which you forgot and now you have to look great in only 5 minutes? A while back I wrote a post 5 ways to survive morning, but there's nothing helping you if you don't have a minute left to put your self together.
I personally think I have quite different morning routine than other people on the Internet. I get up usually half an hour earlier than I need to leave, I don't eat breakfast or drink coffee. I just do the essentials and I'm good to go. Of course, you'll know best what to do for yourself. However, these tips work for anyone and every routine.

A real no-makeup makeup routine | My daily "make-up"

I think I've said it a 100 times by now that I don't use make-up on daily basis. I think I have too much make-up for someone who puts it on maybe once a month. And I'm not even talking about "everyday make-up". I'm talking about not having make-up at all! I went through my teen years without make-up so I think I got really used to my bare face. I also had the worst days (puberty) without make-up so I'm not that self-conscious without it now.
Photo shows my favorite products and the ones I use the most in this situation. For more details either find reviews on my blog or ask in the comment section.
I'm most proud of it now. However, I do like to glam up for special occasions which are sometimes just random outings with my friends. I'm basically doing it all - from bare face to using just few products to going full glam. And this can all happen within 2 days.

Small closet organization

Is it just me or every blogger/youtuber that has anything to do with fashion has a room just for their clothes? Or they at least have huge closets. And, of course, everything is minimalistic and there's room for everything even though they have tons (!) of clothes.
However, I'm showing you the real thing. I have a small room, even smaller closet. Actually, it's a regular size closet, but seeing all the others, this seems tiny. And I also have quite a big amount of clothes. Let's see how this goes.

How to remove stubborn nail polish

How long has it been since I've done a nails related post? I love these so much it always feels like it's been at least 6 months (and it's been a month now...). While we're on the topic, I'm looking for more nail bloggers so if you are one or if you know one, let me know.
You know I love painting my nails all colors, stickers, rhinestones, glitter... You name it. If it's for nails, I probably have it and I've used it. However, the worst part of doing manicures on weekly basis (I have no idea how some people can paint their nails every day) is taking it all off. I may have found the perfect solution for this.

Blogmas 2017: Gift guide (Christmas edition?)

I love buying presents. I would probably buy a gift for a random person on the street if I heard they said they want something. I unfortunately don't have money to buy you all presents, but I hope I can help you pick some.
I'm going to cover most of areas and price ranges so I really hope you'll find something or get some idea by reading this. Also, if you're not celebrating Christmas, I'm sure you have other occasions to give presents.

Shopping tips

If you knew me, like really knew me, you would know that I love shopping. Honestly, I talk about it a lot more than I actually do it and my friends have a feeling I shop every single day, but I don't. I like to browse a lot and I am in stores every other day, but I rarely actually buy something. Why am I justifying myself to you?
I already shared with you my tips on how to shop online so check it out. Anyway, I'm here today to share 7 tips on how to shop and prepare yourself better as I went shopping just yesterday.
Note: BREAKING NEWS!!! You'll actually see everything I got! I announced try-on post a lot of times, but you'll get this one! Comment if you want it :)

Pack with me

As I mentioned in a previous post about summer vacation skincare and beauty essentials, I'm going on a three week vacation. Now, I'm traveling by bus on some relations so I need to pack bus friendly - meaning one suitcase and maybe one backpack.
I also made a free packing list for all seasons. I really hope you won't forget anything while packing. And now I'll show you just few tricks how to pack more efficiently with less things and more space.

Ear piercing problems & solutions

Until not that long ago, there was a picture of all tattoos I wish to get one day on the side of my blog. However, I haven't included piercings because I've already done everything I want regarding that kind of body modifications.

How to shop online

There was a survey in my country how many people any why they shop online. Their conclusion was: people are lazy. My reason for shopping online is: it's freaking cheaper! OK, I love browsing the stores and I buy all my clothes and shoes after I try them on, but all other stuff - jewelry, sunglasses, phone cases,... - I usually buy them online. (Maybe it's lame, but eBay is my best friend.)

Cleaning make-up brushes

You know I'm a newbie when this is my first proper cleaning of my make-up brushes. I have only few of them, but it seriously was a pain to wash them all.

I used:
  • brush cleansing spray by Essence (although picture shows their fixing spray - I realized after I took pictures)
  • hand soap by Nivea
  • silicone cleaning glove - bought on eBay here
  • water
  • paper towels

How I did it:
  • spray each brush with cleansing spray - it disolves make-up and you need less time to wash it
  • leave the spray to soak the brushes for about 2 minutes - brushes that have liquid/cream products leave a bit longer; brushes with powder are almost immediately ready
  • wet/rinse off the brush
  • swirl the wet brush on the soap bar until you see some color going off
  • swirl/swipe brush on the glove until its clear
  • rinse well and place on a paper towel

Do you have some other tip on cleaning brushes?

Greasy hair eyeshadow hack

I'm sure we all have some eyeshadow that's just there and we don't use it. If not, go on and buy some cheap one matching your hair. Why? Because it's the best thing to have when you have greasy hair or if you have small amount of hair. It can also help you with hairstyles when your hair is up.
She eyeshadow (no shade on my packaging)
First things first. I had this weird emo/all-black phase when I was still in elementary school, so I bought this dark, black eyeshadow (yes, I was "emo" and I loved glitter haha). I found it a couple years later and, of course, I'm not using that on my eyes. It was then that I got the idea not to throw away almost full container, but to put it to a better use.
I don't use it often, but it comes in very handy when I have greasy hair because when I do, my hair looks not as thick as usual and then the greasiness is visible even more. To cover this all up, I apply an eyeshadow to my scalp where my hair is parting. This immediately makes my hair look cleaner and thicker. Another bonus thing you can do is to apply dry shampoo before doing this. That way you get the full effect.
Also, I've seen people using it when they put their hair up to create an illusion of baby hair to frame their face. And it works! When you pull your hair up, the most likely place to be left out of hair is the upper side part (next to the forehead). You just apply a bit of eyeshadow there and it will create an illusion of hair.
This maybe looks like it's not a perfect match (cause it's not). But I promise you it is not as visible in person as it is here. Also, glitter eyeshadows are not the best option, but they work just fine.

That's all. Will you try this hack?
