New in: spring beauty haul

** On a personal note this week: My thoughts on "Where Hands Touch" movie

Haaave you missed me? I've been in and out of here for quite some time so I fell out of this routine. Intros have always been the hard part for me, but thankfully I can fill this intro with this random rambling. But you're not here for that. Let's get into it.

Now that I'm working my first real job, I have more money than I ever had. This is still not much, but I am able to buy more. Surprisingly, I didn't spend it all as I thought I would. However, I still bought few long-time wanted items which are also related to this blog.

New in | summer-fall 2018 (part 1)

** On a personal note this week: The Fall Tag by Hailey

I still feel like I've been MIA even though I've been active here for 3 weeks now. I still feel like I'm starting fresh. I also have tons of ideas for this blog, but not enough time do actually do them all. That's why today you're going to see what I recently got. When I say recently, I mean in the past few months of me not blogging.
I also went for small shopping trips so I didn't do a haul type of post. Another thing that has happened here is I got some stuff at the beginning of summer and some just yesterday. So, that's why there are different photos and set-ups. OK, let me just show you what I got myself...

Fashion & make-up & jewelry & skin care haul

Whenever I buy something new I plan on writing this post and I ask you on Twitter whether you'd like to see it and the answer is always "yes" and I've still never done it. So, I've finally done it! Over the past few two months I got some new stuff in all categories so I'm showing you all I got.
It will take me a while before I figure out how to get great pictures of clothes and I'm planning on doing a try-on post one day, but for now you'll get these. Also, my camera has a will on its own so there are different photos here, but you'll get it...

New in: make-up | follow-up post

Few weeks back I posted my New in: make-up | summer-fall 2017 post showing you what I got myself during past few weeks (months?). I promised I would do the follow-up post which I've never actually done before.
Some products will not be featured here because I want to do full reviews on those so keep coming back to see when they'll be posted. I'll keep this short and sweet.

New in: late summer/fall fashion 2017

I've set up so many polls on Twitter asking whether you would like to see any of my fashion hauls. Every time I asked, majority was voting 'yes' and I never did it. Don't know why. Finally, after months of waiting, I'm here with a fashion haul and I tried on everything. This is supposed to be a fall edition, but summer clothing was on sale so I, of course, took some of that.
Don't mind my weird poses which are all the same. This is my first try on post. Also, I know all of these don't work well with my body, but I'm kinda making myself get in shape by this (?). Also, I now realize I should have put an actual outfit with jackets and all, but I just put on what I bought recently. And I also forgot to change my shoes. Luckily, these go with everything. It's gonna be better next time. Anyhow, let's get on with the photos.
Note: Please acknowledge my super improvised background. Yes, it's a white bed sheet.

New in: make-up | summer-fall 2017

I was on a vacation for 6 weeks in total and I didn't buy anything in that time. I was also waiting for some new fall collections to come to our stores so I waited. Now that I found everything I wanted, I'm about $50 lighter and full of new stuff.
Also, why do I have separate photos? I bought stuff on one and thought I would make it a post. Then I saw some other stuff and bought that too. And I'm not as organized as you may think so I already put my stuff all over the place. Some stuff are also at my friend's place. Great. And I still didn't capture all items in these photos.

New in: 40% discount

Unlike my other posts where I actually think about writing them and how they're gonna look, this one came as an idea 5 minutes ago and now I'm writing it. I went for a walk and then ended up in a store where I, as a member, had 40% off on some products and brands.

Essence: My must haves haul

One of my favorite brands, Essence, just came out with their new collection called "My must haves". They discontinued production of some old products, but gave us full new range of eyeshadows, palettes, lipsticks and lipglosses and many more stuff. For the first time, I didn't head directly to the nail polish rack.

New in: Make-up (NYX & MakeUp Revolution & Essence)

In the past few months, I've bought quite a nice collection of make-up. Some of it I really needed, some just looked pretty, but now I have it all and I wanted to show you what I got. About two months ago NYX came to my country so that was a perfect start of this haul post.
I've been using some stuff, that's why there are fingerprints and there's no original packaging.

New in: make-up

I've bought quite a lot of make-up lately so I'd like to present to you all I got. This is not a haul because I believe a haul is when you buy everything at once (correct me if I'm wrong) and I've been collecting these for the past 2 months (if I'm not mistaken).

Essence brushes haul

I still consider myself new in this make-up world and make-up isn't my whole life, so I'm buying really affordable products. Lately I've been seeing all different types of make-up brushes in my local stores and, as usual. Essence draw my attention with these live colors and cute packaging. I got total of 9 brushes and a bag to store them in for $24.50.
I'll write down what they say about it as well as how I'm planning on using it.
Concealer brush. The ideal brush for applying and blending a liquid or cream concealer precisely. Use the pointed tip to help camouflage small imperfections easily. The flat side is ideal for larger areas like under eye circles. For a perfect and flawless finish! Since I got their concealer pallete (post Spring make-up haul), I thought it would be a good idea to purchase a brush that will help me get this green (which I usually use) on my face. This brush was $2.
Smokey eyes brush. Perfect for an easy application. Blend the two eyeshadow shades. Smudge the contours of the eyeliner. I don't actually know why I got this one cause I never smudge my eyeliner, but I think I'll use it for regular blending and applying eyeshadows. This costs $1.50.
Eyeshadow brush. Eyeshadow brush with soft hair for precise application of loose or pressed eyeshadow. If you read my Essence eyeshadows post then you know I recently got these beautiful shades and I needed something to apply them with. I used the sponge applicator till now, but as soon as I saw these, I knew I had to at least try them. I got two of these so I could use multiple colors without having to wash them every 5 minutes. Each costs $1.50.
Eye blender brush. Eyeshadow brush with extra soft hair for blending and shading one or several eyeshadow colors - for softly blended colors and a perfect finish! Also if you read my post about eye shadows (link here), you would know that I used some flat brush I found to blend everything together. Even though it did a good job, I wanted to be more professional and buy this for easier blending. This one was $2.
Blush brush. Professional blush brush with a special slanted shape, provides precise and expert application of blush. For perfectly highlighted cheekbones. Works especially well with the Essence powder blushes. Good thing I bought their powder blush (in the post Spring make-up haul). I thought this would be super cute brush which is not completely round so you could apply blush more precisely, as they say too. Also, saying blush brush is just a fun thing to do. It costs $3.50.
Powder brush. Professional powder brush with a rounded, paddle-shaped brush provides even application for a flawless finish every time. Works especially well with the Essence compact powder. I also got two of these because I have two powders, one translucent and one with a pigment, both by Essence, so I didn't want to apply both of them with the same brush. Each is $4.
Kabuki brush. Professional brush with a round shape provides even application of powders on face, decollete and body. Suitable for compact and loose powders. Works especially well with the Essence bronzing powder. Unfortunately, I don't use bronzers as I don't know how to, so I think I'll use this for applying my translucent powder to set my make-up cause it's big enough to cover all of my face in just few swipes. (You maybe know I also own a "baby kabuki". Post is here.) This one was $5.
Brush bag. I know it's popular to keep your brushes in a cup, preferably those from IKEA, but this is so cute. Although you can't fit a lot of brushes in there, it will be perfect for travelling. It costs $5.

I hope you liked this. Which brushes would you recommend?
I've been thinking about Spectrum brushes. Or Real Techniques. Or Zoeva. Or Morphe. Any thought on these? Or any others? Help out a fellow blogger :)

Spring make-up haul

As I'm weak for all the pretty and colorful stuff, me going into my local drugstore was a big mistake. Or the best thing ever? I got so many stuff I actually divided this post into two according to products I bought. Here's what I got.
Note: I'm not the professional make-up artist (I won't even say I'm that good at all of this), so I'm not going to spend a million dollars on make-up. Essence is my go-to brand as I find them a great balance between price and quality.
Nail polishes. As you were able to see, I'm a huge nail art lover so buying these two bright and spring colors was a done deal. Peach one is #24 indian summer and the turquoise one is #40 play with my mint. They are both by Essence and each was about $2. The sparkle one is by S-he. I needed a good glitter polish and I hope I found one. It's #110 and it was about $3.
Hair bands. I'm sure you've all seen this rubbery elastic twisted hair bands that are supposed to be better for your hair as they do not pull your hair as much as a regular hair band would. I bought these dark brown ones as they go great with my hair. I'm a bit skeptic as I love high ponytails and I don't think they'll provide enough support, but we'll see. I got five of them for $2.50.
White eyeliner. My friend sparked the interest with talking about this and bigger and brighter eyes so, when I saw this, I had to have it. It's waterproof gel eye pencil by Essence. I have to admit I'm pretty curious how this is going to turn out. I got it for $3.
Blush. It's mosaic blush by Essence. I immediately fell in love with this one as it has three colors which I find is more natural then just one pink one. We'll see. I also loved the look of it because it's not flat, but has like little pyramids. I payed $4 for it.
Highlighter. I never used this, but I love the idea. I also tried one by Essence, but it was creamy and I didn't know how it would apply with a brush (although I did try it on my hands and it looked amazing). I chose this High glow by Catrice. I loved how the packaging looks and how shimmery it was on my hands. I got this one for $6.
Concealer. This one in a stick form is Mastertouch all day concealer by Max Factor. I got one for Christmas and I just loved it. I got this one because I ran out of my old one and it's definitely worth repurchasing. It costs $8.50.
Concealer palette. It's All I need palette by Essence consisting 5 most important colors for color correcting. They are all creamy so I'm curious how it's going to apply but I loved the idea of all the colors in one place. Also, the packaging is cute and practical. It costs $4.50.

Do you like anything you see? Have you tried any of these?

My Essence haul !!

This is my first shopping of this kind. I heard Essence would have some new products so I searched their official page (for my country - Croatia!) and I fell in love with some items. (Just an advice: Don't trust the colors you see on the Internet. Go and try everything by yourself!) Although I was there early in the morning, I wasn't early enough so it took me three days and a lot of walking to different stores to get all I want (I still didn't buy all of it). Now, this is not a new collection (*hush hush* new one is coming in March and it will have some adorable stuff), but these are new in their world. So, let me introduce you to my new babies.
As you all know I'm most attached to my nails. I just love everything that comes out that I could use on my nails. I found some beautiful colors and I tried some of them on a piece of paper (as I have my nails painted black now) and I loved the coverage. I love the variety of new colors in the new palette. I got some dark ones here, but I love these light, spring colors.
Cut out manicure stencils #01 dare to be bare, stickers #18 tribe'o metric, french manicure creative tip guides #02 from heaven with love, studio nails fix it! nail glue
Here I got some nail stencils and tip guides for french manicure. Tip guides are a perfect helper if you don't have steady and calm hand, but I'll use them as normal stencils just because I think I could do some great and different manicures. Other fun thing I got are these amazing black and white tribal nail stickers. I could draw most of it by myself, but these are so precise and clean and it saves you a lot of time. So I'm really looking forward to it. Next on, I got a nail glue. I've been using for quite some time. It's amazing - you only need one drop of it and it glues (everything!) immediately.
Mini kabuki brush, nail and hand balm rich & smoothoil control paper all about matt!
Here are some out-of-the-category stuff. I got oil control papers which should turn your skin matte. I wanted to try this for so long as my skin tends to get really oily and these seem like a perfect thing to carry in my bag all the time. I really hope they work. Next is the cutest version of kabuki brush. I know it's used for applying make-up, but I'll use it to wipe of the dust of my nails as I file them. The final product is hand balm. I already have a great cream for my hands, but I got this one too as they say it's great for both your hands and your nails which is really important to me (duh!).
2 in 1 lipstick & lip liner #04 pink points, long-lasting lipstick #16 I am yours!, superfine eyeliner pen #01 deep black, long-lasting lip liner #08 girl next door
My biggest wish here were some lipsticks. I got quite a few on my list, but not all them matched me when I actually tried them on and some I couldn't find. So I got these. I know these long-lasting lipsticks really do last long (on me). Next is this weird looking 2 in 1 lip-liner and lipstick. The color is darker, but intense, pink. I wouldn't normally go for a pink one, but this one won me over. This almost beige lip liner is for my mom as she has light lipstick and she just needed this. I can also say I know their lip liners are great! The last thing is new eyeliner. It has a great black coverage and it's waterproof. I don't think this will amaze me, I just needed new one as my old one got dry and grey.
