I love it how I always say I'm creative person, but my creativity is mostly hidden. Until Christmas arrives. December is my time to shine and, as last few years, I decided to make some easy DIYs to fit this year's theme.

I know this is a self-promotion, but I would highly recommend checking these two posts if you need more ideas or want to see my progress over the years.

Morning & evening motivation routine

Every single time I write any kind of 'routine' post, I say I won't do it again. I simply don't have routines strong enough to actually call them that. Latest one was Daily routine while working 14 hours a day. And then I sit down and think: "You know what's a good post idea? -Routines." And here we are...

However, this is not your traditional routine post. For this one you'll have to read between the lines and imagine great things... Have I intrigued you yet?

I've been into DIYs so much lately. I've been DIYing some jewelry, but mostly home decor. And now that December has come, I, of course, had to make some holiday DIYs. Among other that I already showed you in the post Blogmas 2017: DIY Christmas ornaments which is all bronze-themed so you can really see how only one color can make perfect sense.

DIY photo frame + room decor

You should know I consider myself creative. Yeah, I'm modest like that. But I think I'm more creative when I need to be. I see potential in lots of stuff and I try to adjust them to suit my needs and wishes. That's why I started "DIY category" on my blog.

A while back (like, two years ago), I wrote a post DIY: Motivational picture where I showed you how to easily and quickly upgrade your old picture frame. This time, I bought some frame I liked, but it didn't suit my needs for display so I had to make some adjustments. I'll also share some of my ideas for decorating your room with pictures and photos in frames.

Blogmas 2017: DIY Christmas ornaments

As I said multiple times, I consider myself a creative person. I also live for Christmas. This can only mean one thing - DIYs! I know DIYs can be more expensive than the done thing and they're messy and after all hours put in them, they can still turn out bad or not as you imagined them.
I'm not saying my DIYs are cheaper, but I enjoyed doing them. Also, I will most likely keep them all for next years so it's not a huge waste of money.

DIY lipstick holder (addition)

When I first started buying lipsticks, I never knew I would have this many of them. I first held them in my drawer, then I purchased this acrylic holder and then my friends gave me a smaller lipstick holder for 9 lipsticks. This would be enough if I didn't have lipglosses and some other lip make-up that doesn't fit the 'lipstick' category.

I don't have so much room to buy some more stands, so I decided to upgrade this one. I actually never knew what to put in this left part, so here we are now...

DIY: Rhinestone phone case

Phone cases with rhinestones have been so popular lately. Since they're a bit pricier, I decided to make my own, unique case. Most of these cases are gold or silver, but why make what everybody is expecting, when there are colors! Also, I have a thing for airplanes so this was my main design I knew I needed to have.

DIY: Bookmarks

I'm almost sure you've seen this many times, but I loved the idea of my own unique bookmarks so I did them and decided to share them with you. Also, if you're a passionate reader, this might be the right thing for you. (And yes, I'm a fan of Danielle Steel.)

You'll need (everything is optional - depends on what you'll do):

• needle pins
• buttons
• paper clips
• rhinestones
• beads
• jelly cord (remember this?) or shoe laces
• thread
• glue
• strip of decorative paper

Process:

• decide which style you'll do because you don't need all of these to make one bookmark
• the button bookmarks: I placed a button onto the paper clip or I pulled the button through the paper clip and glued it together
• the green flat bookmark: I placed a needle pin inside the strip of this green decorative tape and glued all around so the pin wouldn't move

I especially love the pink one with the black "fur" button and the green one with the paper and small bead. It looks weird like this, but it's supper cute once it's in the book (see the first picture) and when only the bead is out.

DIY: Rings

I'm really complicated when it comes to jewelry as I like to have everything in style and I rarely wear gold and silver together. For these two reasons, I'm always in a search for new pieces, but this time I decided to make my own simple rings appropriate for any occasion.

You'll need:

• plain rings - I bought mine in a hobby shop for $0.5
• rhinestones with flat-back - I found mine also in a hobby shop for $1, but there are some on the eBay (here)
• glue - I used my favorite nail glue, but any universal will do

Process:

• before you put on glue, decide how you want your rhinestone to be places (parallel or perpendicular or anything else to the flat part on the ring)
• put the glue on the ring (not on the rhinestone as you can't know how big the flat part on the ring really is)
• glue two parts together and let dry

Result:

I chose amber because I think it's really beautiful stone and neutral yet statement. Also, I started small, but I'm sure I'll make more jewelry on my own as it is so simple and cheap.

DIY: Motivational picture

I'm sure you all have some old picture frame that's just there, but it's not used. Let's turn that thing into something you'll like and that will represent you.

You'll need:

• picture frame
• felt pens (black and as many colors as you want to have)
• scissors
• piece of blank white (or colored) paper

Optional:

• glue
• rhinestones

Process:

• cut out piece of paper to fit in your frame (usually they write on the paper inside what dimensions of picture are desirable)
• write or draw anything you want on the paper; or you can print it out to be sure it will look just perfect - I would suggest first writing it with a pencil and to have more options
• place the paper inside the frame and enjoy
• if you want, you can decorate your frame a bit
