What I actually got in an Essence advent calendar

OK, look, I know it's been two months since Christmas and I'm kinda late with this, but would you believe me if I told you I just now got the time to go through it? I honestly haven't touched any of these stuff since I opened them.

The other advent calendar I had was for a giveaway so I took care of it sooner, but this one I wasn't in a rush to deal with. If the recipients of the giveaway are reading this, I would love it if they send me a feedback or a photo or something.  Anyways, let's get into my advent calendar by, probably, my favorite brand out there.

Blogmas 2019: Make this Christmas better for everyone

** GIVEAWAY (rules and entry form): Blogmas 2019: My 1st GIVEAWAY

Walking around these past days during December made me think about other people and how little acts of kindness could really make the difference. Even if you don't think of directly helping other people, there's always something you can do to make things easier for other people too.

I'm also trying to make these holidays better for someone so I'm hosting my first giveaway on this blog. Small things like this can brighten someone's day so I hope you'll realize what you can do to put smile on someone's face. Or, at least, not annoy them.

Blogmas 2019: December to-do list

** GIVEAWAY (rules and entry form): Blogmas 2019: My 1st GIVEAWAY

In my last post I wrote down one kind of wish list, Christmas presents wish list. But, more importantly, I love this list. I'm more for memories and experiences than for presents when it comes to December. I would like to see it all and do it all.

However, working full-time every single day until Christmas (yes, weekends too, for 20+ days) makes this really hard for me. I decided to put together a list to see how many stuff I can actually get done in this time. So let's see what I have planned so far.

Blogmas 2019: My Christmas wishlist

** GIVEAWAY (rules and entry form): Blogmas 2019: My 1st GIVEAWAY

Have I mentioned before that we have this big tradition with presents each year? This extends to all presents, for birthdays and all other occasions, but it becomes really intense during Christmas. We can give out hints, but we never say we actually want something for Christmas and the person buying the present has to be really careful in planning it out and storing it somewhere. We can not know what we got until the Christmas morning.

I absolutely love that my family does it like that because it keeps the magic of Santa present. It's more heart-warming and special to get a surprise. I also think it's really rude to ask for a certain present because you should be happy enough to even get anything. Stay humble.

Blogmas 2019: My 1st GIVEAWAY

** Blogmas posts on this blog: click here
Hello everybody! December has started; so did the Blogmas. For us bloggers it's super stressful time because people who do proper Blogmas have to come up with ideas for 25-30 days. It's not easy. However, I modified it a bit so you'll get 2 posts a week from me...

For this one I just wanted to announce my first ever giveaway on this blog. Each day I'll be opening one door of a beauty advent calendar and, at the end of it, one of you will get all the items.
I've been posting what I got each day on my Twitter and I'll continue to do so so follow me there to see what you can get. I also added few bits that I'll reveal on Christmas day.

I've also been posting rules, but I think this will be way easier to follow.

  • Tweet about the giveaway (you can also like and RT my posts for extra entries)
  • read this blog and leave comments on whatever you like (except on this post!!)
ADDITIONAL:

a Rafflecopter giveaway

That's all folks! Good luck!

If you want, you can give me ideas for future posts in the comments :)

** Giveaway is opened until 31st of December, 12 a.m. CET.

Blogmas 2019: DIY wreaths

** On a personal note 4 weeks ago: My sleeping problems
** On a personal note 3 weeks ago: Storytime: I was embarrassed to talk to my brother
** On a personal note 2 weeks ago: My body image journey - holding it in (part 2)

I love it how I always say I'm creative person, but my creativity is mostly hidden. Until Christmas arrives. December is my time to shine and, as last few years, I decided to make some easy DIYs to fit this year's theme.

I already shared some DIY wreaths last year in my post Blogmas 2018: Christmas wreaths DIY and some Christmas ornaments in my post Blogmas 2017: DIY Christmas ornaments. I know this is a self-promotion, but I would highly recommend checking these two posts if you need more ideas or want to see my progress over the years.

Blogmas 2018: Recap

It's officially the end of my Blogmas. I hope you had fun. I know most people don't post Blogmas posts after Christmas, but I celebrate Christmas the entire December and we actually have holidays until 6th of January so I think I can get a pass here.

Blogmas 2018: What I got for Christmas

Last time I did this, I put everything in post, but since I'm out of ideas and struggling with this year's Blogmas (reasons in the post Blgomas 2018: Why I'm failing Blogmas?, I decided to break it down into two. You can read how my last year's Blogmas went and what I got in the post Blogmas 2017: Recap (December, Blogmas, presents) if you're interested.

Blgomas 2018: Why I'm failing Blogmas?

If you're a faithful reader of my blog, you probably noticed I missed 2 scheduled times to post. OK, I'll make it right now in one night. Or, at least, that's the plan. At times like this I always wonder if people actually realize I haven't posted... Like, are there actually faithful readers that do check my posting schedule? I sure hope so...

Blogmas 2018: Items that bring Christmas into every home on a budget

I realized now that I have a lot more non-beauty posts in this Blogmas than I had in mind. I'm surprisingly OK with that. To be honest, these are easier to write down because I'm already thinking it and I juts have to write it. Usually, I lose a lot of time doing photos for my blog. Now that we're this close to Christmas, I have no spare time, not even a minute. It's currently midnight, I'm getting up in 5 hours to go to work and I just now got the time to write this. So yeah, life posts it is.

Blogmas 2018: Christmas traditions

Blogmas 7: Silent Night
Why do we all consider Christmas time "the most wonderful time of the year"? Is it because all the glitter, lights, presents? All the commercials? Everybody telling us it is? To be honest, I don't know why I consider it my favorite time of the year, but I do. I guess it's just a mix of everything, but most importantly for me - it's traditions. I'm a person that loves traditions and I'll make my own if I really like something. So, today I'm going to write just about that!

Blogmas 2018: How to wrap presents? for dummies

I have no idea why, but I see so many people struggling with wrapping presents. And not only weirdly shaped ones, they struggle with plain boxes too. Now, for a person that absolutely love wrapping presents, and who does it in stead of other people too, this is something I don't fully understand. There are so many tutorials and step-by-step videos that we should all be masters of it. However, I know not all people are for it. They're not creative enough?

Blogmas 2018: Christmas wreaths DIY

Blogmas 5: Joy to the World

I've been into DIYs so much lately. I've been DIYing some jewelry, but mostly home decor. And now that December has come, I, of course, had to make some holiday DIYs. Among other that I already showed you in the post Blogmas 2017: DIY Christmas ornaments which is all bronze-themed so you can really see how only one color can make perfect sense.

Blogmas 2018: Holiday manicures

Blogmas 4: Silent Night
Here I am again with these manicures. You know I love them. I would absolutely love to make a YouTube channel for my manicures, but editing takes too much time and it's quite hard so that will have to wait a bit. However, that doesn't mean I don't know how to take pictures of my nails.

Blogmas 2018: Winter tips and tricks

I basically announced all posts in December will be related to Christmas and holidays, but I also have something else that should be shared during this time. This post will have some Christmas related tips, but also some that I found very useful during these cold days when we usually get sick and our skin is dry and our entire mood can go downfall.

Blogmas 2018: December wishlist

To continue my previous post Blogmas 2018: What to do during winter, I decided to write my own wishlist according to things I know I'll do this year and also what I would love to do. I keep postponing things on my list so there are some years-old stuff in here. I always say this is the year I'll do them and then they never happen, but I still love writing wishlists and keeping track.

Blogmas 2018: What to do during winter

What better way to start this year's Blogmas than with ideas what to do this month? Since Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year, I always manage to find something to do. Luckily, my city invests a lot of money into decorations and contents so it's pretty easy for me to find something.
I already did Blogmas last year so maybe you'll find some inspiration or ideas there. Post with most ideas could be Blogmas 2017: 10 things I love & hate about winter & Christmas time!, but it's not really specific.

Blogmas 2017: Recap (December, Blogmas, presents)

I don't know am I suppose to write another Blogmas post after Christmas. I don't think this is how it works, but it's still holiday time, so I'm doing it.
This December has been the most hectic one that I can remember in quite a few years. I'll get into more details and I'll review my own blogging style. I'll also tell you what I got for Christmas and how it all went.
