** On a personal note this week: My thoughts on "Where Hands Touch" movie
You know that feeling when you love chocolate and junk food so much, but you also want perfect skin? I'm in that state right now. Especially now after Easter with all the cake and sweets I have all around me. It's currently 11 p.m., I'm eating chocolate Easter bunny and eggs and hoping that my face won't break out in the morning.

Especially now after Easter with all the cake and sweets I have all around me. I also recently used my old serum Hydra Moisture Boosting Serum by Oriflame and that product was a game changer. Now I just wanted something I would like as much. I stumbled upon this new L'Oreal product before it was all over the place and in my Instagram ads, and I decided I'll try it out. I showed it to you in my post New in: spring beauty haul.
Starting with the looks, because I'm superficial like that, I'll say that this product looks quite elegant in a glass bottle. I love the combination of clear glass and light blue details. It's also very minimal, but very nice looking. I also love the pump on top and a nice plastic lid to hold the product in. I bought this 70 ml of product for about $8.
Unlike my last serum, I decided to use this product more often so I'm using it every morning and every night after cleansing and before applying my moisturizers New Nivea day & night care. I use exactly two pumps for my entire face. I could use less, but this works too and I can't be bothered with measuring the pumps.
It comes out as a gelly liquid product which quickly turns into clear liquid, almost as I'm applying water to my skin. However, it is thicker than my previous serum which I actually like and have more control of. It's very easy to spread it and cover your skin. It dries pretty quickly and does not leave a sticky or oily residue on your skin.
Results? I've been using this product for about 3 weeks, so I don't have long term results, but for now I have some formed opinion. My skin is soft, hydrated and fresh without being oily. That's basically all I needed. I can definitely see the difference since I've been using this product in how my skin acts through the day. Have in mind I don't wear make-up so I don't know how it'll perform with it, but for skin alone it's great. It also didn't cause any mess on my skin which was my biggest worry.
Verdict? If I wasn't clear enough in my results, I would definitely recommend this product. It's great for giving back some life to your tired skin. I assume dry skin would need something stronger and more oily, but this product works great with my oily/combination skin. I think the price is OK for what you get and I can definitely see I won't use it up too fast. Also, a plus for me, it smells like an aftershave. The smell fades away as it soaks into your skin and it's not overwhelming.

Have you tried it yet? Has it been all over your Instagram ads too?
This product has a very attractive look. Can guys also use this serum? Just asking for a friend.
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous haha
DeleteOf course. It's basically just a water cream (OMG I'm so great at describing things haha) I guess it's good for everyone with the combination/oily skin (maybe dry too, but I wouldn't know) I would honestly recommend it any day!
L'Oreal Hydra Genius sounds like a great product.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love it! I'm using it daily and have been for few months now...
